NEARLI

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 5, 2026

Nearli (“Nearli,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an event discovery application operated by Hybrid Thought Labs, LLC. Nearli helps users discover events and activities happening nearby.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Nearli mobile application, web application, and related services.

1. Information We Process

Location Information

Nearli may request access to your device's location while you are using the app. Your foreground location is used to identify and display events happening near you.

When you use location-based event discovery, your device's location coordinates are transmitted to the Nearli backend so that Nearli can identify nearby events. Nearli may also temporarily provide those coordinates to third-party event providers, including Ticketmaster, when requesting event results for your location.

Location information is used to fulfill your request for nearby events and is not persisted by Nearli. Nearli does not maintain a history of your locations or use your location to track your movements outside the app.

You can disable Nearli's access to your location at any time through your device settings.

Information You Provide

Nearli does not require users to create an account or provide personal information to browse events.

If you contact us for support, we may receive information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, name, and the contents of your support request. We use this information as necessary to respond to your request and provide support.

2. Aggregate Usage Information

Nearli uses a small, first-party analytics system within its API server to understand overall use, monitor reliability, and evaluate the availability of event results. When the Nearli native app or web app calls the Nearli API, certain interactions contribute to daily aggregate counters. These counters are not stored as individual user activity records.

The daily aggregate counters may include:

  • The total number of Nearli API requests, categorized generally as event searches, event-detail requests, or other API requests
  • The number of completed event searches and event-detail requests
  • The total number of event results returned and the average number of results per search
  • The number of API responses with error status codes
  • Whether search results came from Ticketmaster, other web event sources, a mixture of those sources, or fallback event data
  • Day-over-day changes in total API request volume

An API request count is not the same as an app launch, page view, session, or unique user. A single person may generate multiple requests, and use that does not call the Nearli API may not be counted. Nearli does not use these counters to determine how many unique people used the service or to create profiles, session histories, retention measurements, or activity histories for individual users.

The analytics counters do not include IP addresses, device or advertising identifiers, account identifiers, session identifiers, precise location coordinates, search coordinates, search radius, category selections, individual event-view histories, referral or attribution data, or browser and device characteristics. Nearli does not use these analytics to follow users across sessions, apps, or websites.

Aggregate counters are grouped by calendar day using the America/Chicago time zone and stored in Nearli's database. Nearli may use these counters in internal daily operational reports. Nearli does not currently use third-party analytics SDKs or services such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude.

3. Information Nearli Does Not Currently Maintain for Individual Users

Nearli does not currently:

  • Require or provide user accounts
  • Persist user location or maintain location history
  • Use device identifiers for analytics, advertising, or tracking
  • Maintain individual search, event-view, or activity histories through its analytics system
  • Use third-party analytics SDKs
  • Use advertising or attribution SDKs
  • Use remote crash-reporting SDKs
  • Use personal information for targeted advertising
  • Sell personal information
  • Send push notifications

Nearli's first-party analytics system maintains daily aggregate counters as described above rather than individual activity records.

If Nearli's features or data practices change, we may update this Privacy Policy and applicable App Store privacy disclosures.

4. Event Information and Third-Party Services

Nearli displays event information obtained from third-party event providers, venues, organizations, and other event information sources.

Nearli currently uses third-party event services, including Ticketmaster, to retrieve event information. When Nearli requests location-based results from Ticketmaster, location coordinates may be temporarily transmitted to Ticketmaster for the purpose of identifying relevant nearby events.

When you select an event or choose to view additional details, Nearli may also direct you to a third-party website or service, such as an event organizer, venue, ticketing provider, or event source.

Third-party websites and services operate independently from Nearli and may have their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review those policies when visiting third-party services.

5. Service Providers

Nearli uses third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the app, retrieve event information, and deliver internal operational emails. Our application infrastructure currently includes services provided by Replit, our event information providers include Ticketmaster, and our operational email provider is SendGrid.

These providers may process information necessary to provide their respective services.

Nearli's aggregate analytics system is operated as part of Nearli's own API server and does not rely on a third-party analytics SDK. Aggregate operational reports may be delivered to authorized Hybrid Thought Labs, LLC recipients through SendGrid.

6. Analytics and Tracking

Nearli uses first-party analytics consisting of daily aggregate counters generated through its API server. Both the Nearli native app and web app may contribute to these aggregate counters when they interact with Nearli's API.

The analytics system does not maintain individual activity records, create user profiles, identify unique users, or use device identifiers to follow users across sessions, apps, or websites.

Nearli does not currently use third-party analytics SDKs such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude. Nearli also does not currently use advertising, attribution, or remote crash-reporting SDKs.

If our analytics or other data practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and applicable App Store privacy disclosures as appropriate.

7. Advertising

Nearli does not currently display third-party advertising or use personal information for targeted advertising.

If advertising features are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.

8. Data Sharing and Sale

Hybrid Thought Labs, LLC does not sell users' personal information.

Nearli transmits location coordinates to its backend and may temporarily provide those coordinates to third-party event providers such as Ticketmaster when necessary to fulfill a user's request for nearby events. Nearli does not persist those coordinates or maintain location history.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, protect the security and integrity of our services, or protect the rights and safety of Nearli, our users, or others.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures designed to protect information handled through Nearli. However, no internet transmission, mobile application, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Nearli is a general-audience event discovery application and is not specifically directed to children.

Nearli does not currently require or provide user accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request or another means, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.

11. Your Choices

You can control Nearli's access to your device location through your device's privacy and location settings.

You may use Nearli without creating an account.

If you contact us and would like us to delete personal information you provided as part of a support request, you may contact us at the email address below.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Nearli evolves or as legal, regulatory, or operational requirements change.

When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this policy. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or other appropriate means.
